QI
GONG and TAI CHI
Classes
are suitable for all ages, for beginners and for people with previous
experience of Tai Chi & Qi Gong
Understanding how to live in harmony with
ourselves and our environment in the modern world with work, family, colleagues
and friends can be achieved through the practice of Qi
Gong, Tai Chi and meditation. Through learning techniques that are based on
Oriental Traditions and which have been extensively practised throughout the
ages, one is able to feel refreshed, energised and gains a sense of renewed
perspective. We begin to feel a deeper connection with those around us. We
start to enjoy a more satisfying quality of calmness in our minds and greater
health and vitality in our bodies.
Qi Gong and Tai Chi are founded on the principle
of Qi (pronounced chee) the
dynamic energy or “life force” that pervades all biological, natural and
universal processes. Oriental Philosophy, Chinese Medicine and Qi Gong practice all attune us with this “life force”.
There are great benefits when the Qi developed by
individuals is practised and developed in a group. It is simple to learn, fun
to practise and deeply energising.
The routines we will be learning have been
evolved to form a very special part of the Golden Pulse healing system which
was developed by Nguyen Tinh Thong.
Thong (pronounced Tong) was born into a
Vietnamese family who have practiced the healing traditions for three
generations. Ordained into Zen Buddhism at 12 years of age, his training was in
the healing arts of Qi Gong, Meditation, Acupuncture
and Chinese Herbal Medicine. He also trained extensively in martial arts and
Tai Chi.
Even modern medicine understands the
implications of stressful living on our health. Collectively we can create
disease within our homes, offices and organisations when we have an imbalance
in our lifestyles and a lack of awareness of our relationship with the
environment and those around us. The forms of Qi Gong
and Tai Chi allow a greater sense of compassion, trust and well being for
ourselves and those around us.
