Diet

A fundamental principal of Chinese medicine is the idea that ‘we are what we eat’.

The quality of our ‘qi’ is directly related to the quality of the food we take in and how it is cooked. It is important to look at the balance and quality of what each individual eats and then put this into the context of an individual’s constitution.

It is also important to look at how and in what conditions we eat our food. The objective is to ensure that each individual gets the optimum nourishment from their food, both through what is eaten and the way it is eaten.

For many people, eating appropriately is a problem. At The Windrush Clinic, you may be advised on developing appropriate eating patterns.
